Weaving on a Rigid Heddle Loom

Time: Mon & Wed (this is a 2 day class)
The goal of the basic Rigid Heddle Loom Weaving class is to weave a fabric structure using an Ashford rigid heddle (RH) loom. RH loom is a basic, simpler, and light-weight loom. Students will learn about the operation and parts of the loom. Students will also learn the basic weaving terminology. They will be making a scarf using worsted weight (#4) knitting yarns.
Anu Bhatia is the instructor for this class. Anu is originally from New Delhi, India where she received her education in Fashion and Textiles. She also attended Colorado State Univ. and received a master’s in Design and Merchandising. Her passion for learning to weave became a reality about three years ago. There was no looking back since then! She considers weaving her meditation and enjoys learning new weave structures and techniques.
